The Reading Committee of the Bulletin
It meets 5 or 6 times a year. It reads the different typesripts, sets
up each issue and decides about the policy of the publication.
Activities
The Friends organise various activities open to the public or strictly
reserved to them.
Animations at the Museum Programme
In agreement with the Museum, we participate to national events (Patrimonial
European Days, Nights of the Museums,...) or local ones as The Fêtes de
Bayonne… For every issue of the Bulletin (either special or not) a presentation
of the articles and a meeting with the authors is organised for the public
at the Museum. Since 2002, with the collaboration of the City of Bayonne
and the conservatory team of the Museum, we have created the programme
called TARTARO: once a month on a Wednesday afternoon we offer the young
public from 7 to 11 activities (in French or Bask languages) linked to
the collections of the Museum, the reserves or the temporary exhibitions.
Activities reserved to members
With the showing of their card, the Friends beneficiate of a free entrance
to the Museum , guided visits and invitations to the private views of
some temporary exhibitions. They organise from 4 to 6 outings a year (a
whole day ) whose themes are connected to the Museum or different ones.
